Step away from the crowds and into the wild with our Moraine Lake Sunset & Stargazing Tour, a truly magical evening experience in Banff National Park.
Travel the scenic Bow Valley Parkway, watching for wildlife along this prime corridor, and stop at Morant’s Curve for a classic Rocky Mountain photo before arriving at Moraine Lake.
Enjoy a peaceful lakeshore walk and watch the sunset from the rockpile with a hot drink and cozy blanket as the Valley of the Ten Peaks glows in the fading light. As darkness falls, we’ll use telescopes and binoculars to explore the star-filled sky, and possibly even the northern lights.
Whats included:
Tea, hot chocolate, and water refills are provided. Please bring your own reusable water bottle.
Settle in at the rockpile with provided chairs and warm blankets, allowing you to relax, stay comfortable
Headlamps essential for lakeshore walkss and moving confortably in low-light conditions.

- The tour still operates in cloudy or rainy conditions. While sunset colors and stargazing are weather-dependent, Moraine Lake itself is the main highlight of the experience—and it remains breathtaking in all kinds of weather.
- Minimum age of 6 years. All minors MUST be accompanied by a Parent or Guardian
- Tour includes pick up from Canmore and Banfff. Due to multiple stops, your driver/guide may arrive slightly earlier or later than your scheduled pick-up time.
- All guests are required to sign a liability waiver prior to tour time. Please see waiver here.
- Tour is 7 hours in duration including pick up and drop off
