Lake Louise Winterland Tour

We offer convenient pick-ups from most major hotels in Banff. Departure times typically vary, so please check your specific booking confirmation for your exact pick-up time. We recommend being ready in the lobby about 15 minutes early so we can get everyone on board and head to the mountains!

Absolutely! While all of our pick-ups are in Banff, there is 9 hours free parking at the Banff Train Station. The closest pick-up location to the Train Station is the Peaks Hotel & Suites (approx 5 minute walk). 

The tour is approx 4.5 hours. You will spend around approximately 2 hours at Lake Louise and will have time to either snowshoe with the guide or skate on the lake (conditions permitting). Skate rentals can be rented at our Banff Adventures store at 211 Bear Street prior to the tour. 

Yes! This is a fantastic family-friendly activity. Kids love seeing the snow-covered trees and the massive frozen lake. Just make sure everyone is bundled up warmly, as we'll be spending time outdoors.

The minimum age for this tour is 8 years old. If your child is 7 years old or younger, the Lake Louise & Yoho Tour or Lake Louise and Icefield Parkway touris for you!

You will have time to either snowshoe with the guide or skate on the lake (conditions permitting). Ice Skates will need to be rented and are not included with the tour.

Skate rentals can be rented at our Banff Adventures Activity Centre at 211 Bear Street prior to the tour. To save time, you can reserve skates online and collect from our Activity Centre the evening before your tour. 

The tour includes a professional interpretive guide, return transportation via 15 passenger van from all major Banff hotels, snowshoe rental, hot chocolate and cookies. This tour is a small group with max 12 people per guide. 

Please wear appropriate for the day's weather. Temperatures at Lake Louise can be colder than in Banff. This includes warm hat and gloves, winter boots, or hiking boots, warm winter coat. If you do not have suitably warm clothing you will not be permitted to participate. We suggest to bring a water bottle and your camera!

Lunch is not included, but don't worry, you'll have free time at Lake Louise where you can grab a bite to eat at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. There are several dining options ranging from casual cafes to sit-down restaurants. Alternatively, feel free to bring your own snacks to enjoy on the journey.

There is a 48 hour cancellation policy, which allows you to change/cancel or refund your booking up to 48 hours outside your booked tour (up to 10 days for group bookings). No Shows and late comers will not be accommodated.
