A western experience for the whole family! Enjoy a scenic wagon or horseback ride along the river with beautiful mountain views. Stop for a BBQ feast halfway through your ride and experience a true cowboy cookout.
You will have a leisurely trail ride along the base of Sulphur Mountain to a western BBQ lunch/dinner. While the cook prepares your steak to order, challenge friends and family to a game of horseshoes or relax in the picnic area. Then take in the sights along the Bow River as the ride returns to Warner stables. For children and anyone who does not wish to ride horseback the covered wagon is available for this tour at a reduced cost per person. The Wagon is available for lunch and dinner trips while the horseback ride is only offered for the dinner trip.

- You are required to check in at least 30 minutes prior to your ride’s scheduled departure time to fill out a waiver and get assigned your horse. The ride will depart as scheduled. Please allow ample time to account for traffic and travel time. No refunds; reschedule based on availability and not guaranteed.
- Guests participating in horseback riding will need to be 8 years or over and a maximum of 230lbs. Banff Trail Riders is committed to the health of our horses and the safety of our guests, which means that the minimum age and maximum weight requirements are strictly enforced. As part of the check-in process, guests may be required to confirm their current weight on a scale and provide proof of the child’s age. In the event that these requirements are not met, the booking will be forfeited without a refund.
- You must wear sturdy, closed toe shoes and long pants to horseback ride.
- Please note that guests are not permitted to bring a backpack on the horseback ride however you can on the wagon.
- All minors under 18 years old participating in a horse activity must have a parent or legal guardian on the ride with them.
- Please note that children will not be paired with an adult – they must ride their own horse.
- For safety purposes helmets are mandatory to be worn by all riders.
- Prices are subject to change during peak season.
