Snow & Ice

We pick up from most hotels in Banff and at the train station in Banff. You can select your preferred pick-up location during the booking process. 

Tours in this should be taken on different days.

Both tours are 4 hours long, with 2 - 2.5 hours of walking. 

Please be prepared for the mountain weather, it changes quickly and our winter tours run in anything from -27C (-17F) to +10C (+50F). Wind chill can change the temperature dramatically and you will be outside for the majority of your tour.

You should wear thermals/base layers/long johns. Snowpants are recommended for the Icewalk and mandatory for the snowshoe. Wear warm winter boots and a warm waterproof jacket.  

The Snowshoeing tour includes the use of snowshoes and hiking poles. The Icewalk tour includes the use of ice cleats and hiking poles. Both tours include pick up from Banff, a qualified guide, hot drink and cookie. 

Icewalks and Snowshoe Tours are subject to a 24 hour cancellation policy. The package is 100% refundable if cancelled outside of 24 hours before scheduled tour time. No refunds provided for guests that do not make their booked activity time.
