What Should I Wear?
As you glide over snowbanks and hills at full speed, you’ll feel plenty of cold mountain wind. Long ago, mushers used to wear traditional garments made from furs and hides, which would naturally shield against harsh snow and winds. But if you forgot your parka at home, not to worry! You can prepare for your dog-riding adventure by layering your clothing. We highly recommend wearing a heavy coat and at least one thermal layer underneath. Don’t forget a pair of warm mittens, sunglasses, thick socks, and a neck gaiter or scarf.
