For those arriving from more local destinations, you’ll have quite the scenic drive to enjoy as you make your way to the mountains! Banff is approximately 1.5 hours from Calgary (which includes the closest international airport) and approximately 4 hours from Edmonton. Grab your favourite snacks and winter essentials and hit the road bright and early to make the most of your adventure!
Afternoon: Ascend to New Heights on the Banff Gondola
Once you’ve settled into your hotel or Airbnb, it’s time to get the fun started! Kick off your adventure with an unforgettable ride on the Banff Gondola. Located at the base of Sulphur Mountain, the gondola offers a scenic ascent that treats riders to an 8-minute ride full of jaw-dropping views as you rise to the top of the mountain.
