Wolves of Wonder
At Banff Adventures, we love the Canadian Wild and all the creatures and critters that come with it! That’s why we’re proud to offer you the exciting chance to visit Alberta’s very own Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary. Located about an hour away from Banff in Cochrane, this awe-inspiring facility has been developed and designed with love and conservation in mind. Over the last 11 years, the crew of lupine and canine experts at Yamnuska have dedicated themselves to giving a safe and welcoming home to wolfdogs, who often find themselves as an increasingly vulnerable species both in the wild and domestically. Through demonstrations, education, and even interactive tours, you and the whole family can get up close to these beautiful creatures and learn more about the wild that lurks in their DNA. As a registered Not For Profit, the Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary remains strongly focused on teaching the public about wolfdogs and their full lupine counterparts and a visit to the sanctuary is the perfect opportunity to support their cause!
Hit the Trails!
It just wouldn’t be a trip to the wild without the opportunity to throw on your cowboy hat and dig deep into your western roots. Banff Adventures offers multiple horseback riding tours ranging in length from 1-4 hrs and is suitable for all experience levels. Saddle up and follow our guides for a relaxing ride through the Bow Valley Region and keep your eyes peeled for wildlife, wildflowers and plenty of jaw-dropping views along the way! Operating from the spring until early fall, there are plenty of opportunities to hit the trails and adventure by horseback!
Fishing Tours
Cast a line for a good time! Banff National Park operates as a catch and release fishing area and has some of the best spots to cast your rod. Our chartered lake fishing tours on Lake Minnewanka are an incredible way to take the sport to the next level and to help you practice your skills as a seasoned fisherman. Chartered tours last for 4 hours and include a dedicated fishing permit for your convenience.
Soar with the Gondola and More
