What will I see on a Banff horseback riding tour?
Our tours take you from the bustling Banff townsite straight into a peaceful wilderness to help you see some of the top sights in Banff National Park. One of our favourite routes leads you past the renowned Rimrock Resort Hotel and down into the valley to cross the lively Spray River. Along the way, you’ll get stunning views of the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel—famously known as Canada’s "Castle in the Rockies"—and pass their lush green golf course before visiting the roaring Bow Falls.

Do I need to have experience to go riding?
Not at all! Our horseback riding tours are designed for everyone, from beginners to experienced riders. We use sturdy, well-trained horses that know our trails by heart to make things as smooth and easy as possible. Our friendly guides will provide a full briefing before you get into the saddle to ensure you feel safe and confident throughout the trek and will monitor the group as well as surrounding conditions the whole ride.
What are the age and weight requirements?
For safety’s sake, all participants must be at least 8 years of age. The maximum rider weight is 230lbs. Any minors under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian riding along with them!
What should I wear and bring?
Safety and comfort are key when you're in the saddle. All riders are required to wear closed-toe shoes (leave the sandals and high heels at your hotel!) We also highly recommend wearing long pants to protect your legs. We provide helmets for everyone, and all participants must sign a waiver before we head out. To make sure you’re on time for your tour, please arrive 30 minutes early to sign your waivers.
