Why The Banff Hot Springs Are Unique
Banff’s Hot Spring are more than a relaxing soak for families, couples and friends. These thermal springs are also home to some unique natural history and wildlife, like the rare Banff Spring Snail! While you won’t see these fascinating critters at the pool itself, they can be found nearby at the historic Cave and Basin site.
Banff’s Hot Springs are known for their natural, muscle-soothing minerals like sulphate, calcium and bicarbonate. Whether you’ve just come back from a vigorous hike or are simply looking to unwind, what better way to relax than a late evening swim underneath the stunning, mountain-capped skyline?
How to Get There
Before you begin your refreshing swim at the Banff Hot Springs, you’ll need to pick up your tickets from our location right at the heart of downtown Banff. Next, on the day of your booking, find your way to the Banff Hot Springs. Luckily, the Hot Springs are nearby and located at the base of Sulphur Mountain in Banff.
To get there:
- By Bus: Buses frequently run from Downtown Banff to the Hot Springs, only 10 minutes away. Simply take Route 1 (to Sulphur Mountain) heading toward the Banff Gondola.
- By Foot: For those looking to get their sweat on, you can walk to Banff’s Hot Springs from Downtown Banff. Plan for around 45 to 60 minutes with lots of uphill walking.
