Snow Tubing in Banff

There’s nothing more Canadian than hurtling down a snow covered hill with the wind rushing in your hair. Snow tubing allows you to experience all the fun of traditional tobogganing with added cushioning and comfort on the way down! Located just 5 minutes away from the Town of Banff, the Mt. Norquay Tube Park is the perfect spot for family fun and adventure!

Whether you’re looking for an activity that provides plenty of thrills with less physical demand than a day on the slopes, or are looking for something that’s well suited for the littlest explorers in your crew, tubing is a great way to make memories in the Rockies.

What to expect

The Mt. Norquay Tubing Park provides a safe and family friendly area for tubing and sliding. Conveniently located close to Banff, the park operates December through to early spring, weather permitting, and features the following:

  • 8 tubing lanes
  • Friendly and knowledgable staff
  • A ‘crazy carpet’ system to help you get back to the top of the hill
  • Dedicated play area for kids, and more.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Are tubes available for rental or do we have to provide our own?
Tubes are provided by the park for your convenience and safety.
  2. How should we dress/what kind of winter clothing is recommended when going tubing?
As with any winter activity in Banff, we recommend dressing to conditions for safety and comfort. Even on our more mild days, temperatures can be quite chilly after prolonged exposure to the elements. For activities like tubing, we recommend water resistant outerwear that is suitable for colder temperature, including essentials like hats, mitts/gloves, and boots (not ski boots!)
  3. Can I bring my little ones?
Tubing tends to be a very safe and family friendly activity, however we do advise that parents ensure they are aware of their children at all times while at the park. The minimum age for children participating at the Mt. Norquay tubing park is 4 years old, with a height restriction of 42” or higher.
  4. Do I have to book a specific time?
No, but you do have to book a specific day for your ticket. Your ticket is open, and you can stay as long as you'd like during opening hours.
