Lake Louise Dogsledding!
Great Divide Dogsled
Adventure Details
This dog sledding trip takes guests to the Alberta - British Columbia Great Divide, a distance of approximately 16 km. Your exuberant team will transport you all the way to the Continental Divide, which is the main watershed division of North America. This is also the border of British Columbia and Alberta, and the border between Banff and Yoho National Parks.
While the dogs are the stars of the show and will hold most of your attention, your guide will point out the cascading glaciers, mountain top cornices sculpted by wind, and local critter tracks. They will also happily share stories of a life with sleddogs and boast shamelessly about their dog team! There will be plenty of time to get to know your incredible dogs, and take plenty of memorable photos. This is the trip for those really want to experience the thrill of mushing. With safety in mind, if possible we will invite you drive the team home with the assistance of your guide. Apres tour you will be invited to toss chicken snacks to your dog team. You will depart with a enormous appreciation of the talent of these dogs, as well as understand why Banff National Park has been included as a Unesco World Heritage Site.
