Visiting Sunshine Meadows is truly one of the world's most unique nature-inspired experiences.
Ride Banff's biggest gondola (8-passenger cabin capacity) with the whole family. Start at the base at an elevation of 1,659 m and ride the gondola to the top Village terminal at 2,159 m. Take in all the views of the valley and wildlife. Once at the village, you can explore the trails on your own or take your sightseeing experience to greater heights aboard the Standish Chairlift to 2,385 m (7,825 ft) and experience the 360 degree breathtaking views.
The chairlift ride is approximately 8 minutes. There are tons of Sunshine Meadows trails to explore and plenty of friendly staff to provide assistance at various viewpoints. Sitting on the doorstep of some of the best hiking in the world, you set the pace for your own adventure. Plan your visit to allow sufficient time to ride the Gondola to the Village and enjoy the sights from the Standish Viewing Deck.

- Gondola is open daily from June 21 to September 8, 2024, 8 am - 6 pm (last Gondola down is 6pm)
- Guests can drive themsleves to the base of the Sunshine Village Gondola (located 8kms west of Banff) or take the free shuttle from Banff.
