Below, we’ll take a look at some of the best ways to enjoy your time on and off the slopes in Banff this winter. Read on to learn more!

Calling All Snow Fans!

If you’ve been waiting patiently for the snow to build and create epic runs, now’s the time for skiers and snowboarders alike to hit the mountains! Banff is known worldwide for its pristine slopes and unparalleled powder, and Banff Adventures is here to ensure you have everything you need for a perfect day on the hill, especially for those coming from further destinations without their own gear. For your convenience and comfort, we offer:

Equipment Rentals

Banff Adventures offers high-end rental ski equipment that keeps both skiers and boarders safe and ready to go on the hill. From skis and snowboards to boots, goggles, poles and more, all of our equipment is meticulously maintained and sanitized after each use, meaning that you’ll have peace of mind while you stay and play on the slopes. We know that it’s not always easy to bring your own gear, and that’s why you can always count on us to have a fully stocked roster of skis, boards and everything in between, so all you have to do is show up and get ready to have fun!

Looking for extra rentals to keep yourself entertained off the hill? We’ve got you covered! Banff Adventures offers easy rentals for skates, hockey sticks, snowshoes, boots, cleats and more!

Ski/Snowboard Lessons

Has it been a while since you’ve had the chance to hit the slopes? If you’re feeling a little rusty and worried about keeping up with the rest of the crew? No need to panic! Banff Adventures offers ski/board lessons with experienced instructors in both private and group settings. Whether you’re a first time skier or simply out of practice, our instructors will tailor to your skill level and make sure you know the tips and tricks to stay safe while having fun!

Off Hill Adventures

Wondering what to do once you’ve conquered the slopes? Not to worry, there are plenty of ways to explore Banff National Park outside of ski hills. Banff Adventures is here to keep you hooked up with the biggest thrills all winter long! Favourite winter activities for guests include:

Snow Tubing

If you haven’t gotten your thrill of fresh snow, it’s time to tackle the hills in a new way. Mt. Norquay’s dedicated tubing hill offers a safe and fun way to “toboggan” like never before! Great for kids and adults who love to slip and slide, tubing is a fantastic addition to any getaway and a great way to change up the routine!

Ice Walks

Grotto and Johnston Canyon are two natural wonders that attract visitors all year round. In the winter, rushing water freezes in place to create dramatic ice sculptures that capture the power and beauty of the Rockies for all to see.  Ice Walks are easy to navigate with the right gear (rentable through us), and give adventurers of all ages an up-close view of nature that you’re sure to remember forever. Pack your toque and your camera…you never know when the perfect photo will catch your attention!

The Banff Gondola

If you’re looking to warm up after skiing and give your legs a chance to rest and recoup, you can soar to new heights and relax on a thrilling ride up to the top of Sulphur Mountain via the Banff Gondola. Once you reach the peak, you’ll be treated to 360° views from the world-class interpretive centre, and those looking to grab a bite can wine and dine at the Sky Bistro. The gondola showcases the true beauty of Banff National Park and treats you to panoramas of 6 different mountain ranges. To make your trip even more exciting, visitors now through March 31st can enjoy the Gondola’s Night Rise festival, which features nightly bonfires, music, and more!
