An Experience Like No Other
There are countless ways to experience Banff National Park and the Bow Valley Region, but few are as rewarding as the thrill of unleashing pure power while you explore. If you’re looking to go off the beaten path and seek out the unknown, dog sledding is an incredible way to see the Canadian wilderness. Each of our Banff dog sled tours is designed with your safety in mind, and our highly experienced guides will take you across some of the best trails in Canmore and Lake Louise to give you an unparalleled view of the region’s beauty. At the same time, you learn about the area and have the chance to interact with your canine companions. Our 2023 tours include:
Unleash The Musher
Unleash the Musher is our most popular tour based out of Canmore, just a short 20 drive away from Banff. Suitable for ages 2 and up (yes, even your little adventurers can join in!), you’ll get the chance to do as the name suggests and unleash your inner Musher as you race across the snow in Spray Lakes Provincial Park. Your guides will give you plenty of ways to get involved, including the chance to help harness the dogs and drive the sled, all while ensuring your safety and comfort throughout the tour.
Great Divide
The Great Divide allows Lake Louise to shine like never before on this heart-pumping 1.5-hour tour. On this expedition, participants will travel across the Continental Divide and see the beauty of the Rockies up close as they zoom across the landscape, stopping for Instagram-worthy photos along the way.
Mountain Musher
The Mountain Musher tour is in the heart of K-Country (Kananaskis) at Spray Lakes. This trip will take you down the lake, through narrow tree trails and down to the south side of spray lakes. Lasting for a total of 1.5 hrs, you’ll enjoy a brief orientation (as all tours include) to learn how to handle the dogs, help your guides harness them, and, best of all…you’ll even have the opportunity to drive the sled if you wish! After your sled adventures conclude, you’ll head back to camp for some hot chocolate and fresh cookies and get one final chance to pal around with your canine crew before saying goodbye!
