Let’s Hit the Slopes
Banff is a world-renowned Mecca for ski and snowboard enthusiasts across the globe. With three famous hills nearby, it’s no wonder that every winter Banff becomes a bustling town full of visitors itching to hit the slopes. Banff Adventures is here to make your next ski getaway easy with the following:
Equipment Rentals
Heading to the hill but dreading dragging heavy gear and equipment along for the ride? We’ve got you covered. Banff Adventures offers high-end rental ski equipment that will keep you safe and ready to go for a day on the slopes. From skis and snowboards to boots, goggles, poles and more, all of our equipment is meticulously maintained and sanitized after each use, meaning that you’ll have peace of mind while you stay and play in Banff National Park.
For those looking for extra activities to tackle off the hill (more on that in a moment), we also offer rentals for skates, hockey sticks, snowshoes, boots, cleats and more!
Ski/Snowboard Lessons
Feeling a little rusty when it comes to tackling downhill skiing or boarding? If it’s been a while since you’ve had a chance to hit the slopes, we’re here to help. Our team offers access to highly qualified instructors that can give you a refresh or for first timers, help you learn the basics before you try a run on your own. Our lessons are available in both group and private formats to ensure you feel comfortable and can be tailored to your specific focus as needed.
Fun Off the Hill
If you’re visiting for an extended period or have members of your group that aren’t looking to spend your entire trip on the hill, there are plenty of other ways to get out and explore the region during winter. Favourite winter activities include:
Snow Tubing
Give your legs a break and slide down the snow differently! Mt. Norquay’s dedicated tubing hill is a safe and fun way to enjoy a Canadian staple for winter activities. Great for kids and adults that love to slip and slide, tubing is a fantastic addition to any getaway!
Ice Walks
Grotto Canyon is a natural wonder that’s truly breathtaking to behold, especially in the winter when its famous waterfalls freeze over and form dramatic ice sculptures that highlight just how powerful the Rockies are. As an easily accessible activity that’s great for all adventure levels, Ice Walks give you an up-close look at the canyon and plenty of opportunities to snap pictures you’ll treasure forever.
The Banff Gondola
Soar to new heights and take it easy as you ride all the way up to the top of Sulphur Mountain. At the summit, you’ll find a gorgeous interpretive centre ready to greet you, as well as fine dining courtesy of the ever-delectable Sky Bistro. As must-experience activity, the Banff Gondola is particularly stunning in winter and an amazing way to see the Rockies from a bird’s eye view!
