Located about an hour away from Banff in Cochrane, this awe-inspiring facility has been developed and designed with love and conservation in mind. Over the last 11 years, the crew of lupine and canine experts at Yamnuska have dedicated themselves to giving a safe and welcoming home to wolfdogs, who often find themselves as an increasingly vulnerable species both in the wild and domestically. Through demonstrations, education, and even interactive tours, you and the whole family can get up close to these beautiful creatures and learn more about the wild that lurks in their DNA. As a registered Not For Profit, the Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary remains strongly focused on teaching the public about wolfdogs and their full lupine counterparts and a visit to the sanctuary is the perfect opportunity to support their cause!

Hit the Trails!

It just wouldn’t be a trip to the wild without the opportunity to throw on your cowboy hat and dig deep into your western roots. Banff Adventures offers multiple horseback riding tours ranging in length from 1-4 hrs and is suitable for all experience levels.
