Whether it’s your first time in the saddle or you’re an experienced rider, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Explore The Bow River

Home to shining peaks and miles of forest and endless trails, the Banff region is a natural paradise for outdoor lovers. Each of our trail rides treats you to scenic panoramas and a unique chance to explore the area in a unique way. Saddle up while experienced guides take you on one of the following tours:

Bow River Ride (Departs hourly each day from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Duration: 1 hour)

This one hour ride takes you along the Bow River, past the natural hot springs that flow from the Cave & Basin. On our Spray River ride, you’ll ride past the infamous Bow Falls, then cross the tranquil Spray River before moving on to a partial climb up Sulphur Mountain.

Bow River Ride (Evening Ride, Departs Daily at 5:30 PM. Duration: 1 hour)

Revel in the magic of Banff’s long summer days and enjoy a 1-hour evening ride along the Bow River. Our guides will help you navigate the region while you take in plenty of soaring peaks and stunning greenery along the way.

Spray River Ride (Departs hourly each day from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Duration 1 hour.)

Take in the majesty of the Rocky Mountains and pass by the famous Banff Springs Golf Course before continuing on across crystal blue waters to partially ascend up Sulphur mountain on the gorgeous daytime ride.

Sundance Loop Ride (Departs Daily 9:30 AM, 12:30 PM & 2:30 PM. Duration: 2 hours)

Want a little more time to explore? The Sundance Loop offers an extension of the Bow River ride and takes you further up Sulphur Mountain and around the Windy Knoll before returning to the stables.

Bow Valley Loop Ride (Departs Daily 10:30 AM & 1:30 PM Duration: 3 hours)

Extend your time in the gorgeous Bow Valley with this three-hour ride and treat yourself to even more views as your take in the region by horseback.

Sulphur Mountain Ride (Departs Daily 12:30 PM. Duration: 4 hours)

Our longest trail ride treats adventurers to a beautiful trek by the renowned Rimrock Resort Hotel and then further down the valley to cross the Spray River. From here you’ll move down toward the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel and Golf Course and continue to the roaring Bow Falls before heading back.

Cowboy Cookouts

Several of our longer tours offer the option to experience a real-life ‘Cowboy Cookout’. Enjoy a leisurely trail ride along the base of Sulphur Mountain and then settle into a western BBQ dinner. While the cook prepares your steak to order, challenge friends and family to a game of horseshoes or relax in the picnic area, and be sure to swap stories around the campfire! Cowboy cookouts are a surefire hit with kids, as well as everyone in between!
