Banff Gondola

Ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain to experience a bird's eye view of six mountain ranges.

Banff Gondola is located just 5 minutes from the Town of Banff, on the shoulder of Sulphur Mountain, in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. The 360° view from the upper gondola terminal, view-decks and Summit Ridge interpretive boardwalk, is the very best vantage point in the west. Safely seated in 4 passenger gondola cabins, visitors are transported in 8 minutes to the summit at an elevation of 2,281m (7,486 ft) above sea level. 

On May 1, the Banff Gondola will open with limited upper terminal facilities until the new, upper terminal's grand opening restores full public access on August 1, 2016.

Banff Sightseeing Chairlift

Take a 15 minute chairlift ride at Mt Norquay and take in the spectacular views looking down into the Town of Banff. Look across the Spray and Bow Valleys with the stunning jagged edges of Mt Rundle as a feature for all your photos.  Relax over a snack or meal, craft brews or a glass of wine at the Cliff House Bistro.

Sunshine Sightseeing Gondola

See spectacular sights and incredible views from 'On Top of the World.' Ride the Sunshine Sightseeing Gondola and the Mt. Standish Chairlift to take you to the highest lift accessed elevation at 2,400 m or 7,875 feet in the Banff and Lake Louise area.

Surrounded by iconic peaks of the Canadian Rocky Mountains, experience panoramic views and the Sunshine Village Ski Resort access road is only 8 km West of Banff on the Trans-Canada #1 highway for a total of 16 KM  from Banff.

The 4,5 km (2.8 miles) long sightseeing gondola takes approx. 22 minutes up to the village area followed by a 10 minute ride on Mt. Standish Scenic Chairlift .

Lake Louise Gondola

The Lake Louise Gondola is seasonal and will be in operation from May 14 – September 29.

Cruise for fourteen glorious minutes, riding in one of the open chair or fully enclosed gondolas, to one of the Banff National Park's greatest views!

From the top, at 2088m (6850ft), the spectacular scenery is yours to explore at will – there are ambitious hikes to the summit of Mt. Whitehorn for the hardy, or equally lovely short, leisurely strolls for those with more modest exercise goals.

Stop by and enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast or lunch prepared fresh, and served daily in the Lodge of the Ten Peaks!

The Ride n ‘ dine packages include the Gondola tickets plus breakfast or lunch buffet which will be served in Whiskey Jack Lodge.

Kicking Horse Sightseeing Gondola & Grizzly Bear Refuge

Surrounded by 6 national parks (Banff, Glacier, Kootenay, Yoho, Mt Revelstoke, and Jasper), Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is situated in one of the most spectacular settings in the world. Take a short journey on the Rockies highest sightseeing gondola, the 8 person Golden Eagle Express, rising almost 4000 vertical feet in 18 minutes.
